About us
Welcome to our home! We hope you love it as much as we do.
We are Sam and Jen. We (and our two kids plus a daft spaniel) live in London, however both of us have strong island connections. Jen’s mum is from Lewis and lives in Stornoway, and Sam lived in Lewis for 20 years where he was a photographer and film maker. His daughter lives on the island, and is a very talented artist.
You can see some of Sam’s photos in the gallery section, plus others are dotted around the website (and others have been kindly done by Sandie Maciver).
When we had our two kids, we wanted them to have a stronger connection to the place and the people, and therefore the idea of building a home away from home was born.
We wanted a place that would be the ultimate location to get our kids out on the hills and sea in the way that Sam and his (now adult) kids did for years.
Hebrides House has been designed to be comfortable and dare we say more than a little luxurious, so when people stay they can relax in the most special of places.
