Hebrides House

Welcome to Hebrides House.

If you want to experience nature’s raw beauty and wildness, then Uig in the Outer Hebrides is the best place to do it. Our home away from home was designed by award-winning architects GRAS and built by Kenny Macarthur to be our home away from home as the ultimate place to experience nature at its best and then retreat indoors to relax in beautiful, comfortable interiors.

We are a family of swimmers, surfers, sailors, skaters, cyclists and hikers, who also love to play host to our friends and family. Hebrides House is tailored made for us, and well, people like us. For those whose ideal day is one spent up a hill or out in the sea, and want to come back home, get the salt and sand off in the outdoor shower and then relax in front of the fire. Or perhaps take a gin and tonic to the outdoor bath to watch the sunset and the stars come out.

The house has been designed to be flexible for families and friends to be able to come together and enjoy each other’s company, but also have the space for people to have some time to themselves.

If we do say so ourselves, Hebrides House has it all: the comforts of home (and perhaps a few more besides), set in one of the most ruggedly beautiful locations in the world, but within walking distance to the beach, shops, cafe, museum and restaurant.
